62-home development with 100 letters of objection set to go before councillors today

A planning application for a 62-home development on farm land at the rear of Enterprise Way, Winterton, has been met with more than 100 letters of objection

An application to build a 62-home development on a site in North Lincolnshire which has been met with 100 letters of objection will go before councillors today.

Dean Property Group has submitted the application for land off Enterprise Way, in Winterton.

Outline planning permission is being sought for up to 62 homes on the site.

Councillors Elaine Marper and Helen Rowson have called in the application to North Lincolnshire Council’s planning committee on significant public interest grounds.

Objectors have registered their opposition to the application on the grounds that the development would lead to a loss of privacy for other residents.

A 427-signature petition has also been lodged against the application, highlighting concerns relating to flood risk, increased traffic and any use of Coates Avenue for vehicular and pedestrian movements.

The council’s planning committee will consider the application at its meeting today at the Civic Centre, on Ashby Road in Scunthorpe.
