Plans to build 10 new homes in North Lincolnshire move step closer

Plans to build 10 new homes in North Lincolnshire have moved a step closer.

Outline planning permission has been granted by councillors at the North Lincolnshire planning committee to build the new houses on empty land on Halkon Close, Luddington.

Three residents spoke at the meeting to raise objections.

Rosemary Pullan raised concerns about how traffic and deliveries would be able to function on a small road and argued that two and three storey houses would not look right in the area.

She also raised concerns about who would own the properties and who would be moving into them.

“As for the benefits, I can’t see any at all,” she said.

“We have beautiful views across the field and it will reduce the amount of our own properties.”

Councillor John Briggs said he sympathised with the concerns of the residents but said that ultimately, North Lincolnshire needs new houses.

He said that it would be preferable for the current residents if bungalows could be built instead of two to three storey homes.

The committee decided to grant outline planning permission.
