A new 68-home housing development has been officially launched with the opening of a show house.
The Yaddlethorpe Grange development is currently under construction by HG Homes on the site of the former Darby Glass factory on Sunningdale Road in Bottesford.
It will eventually include 68 two, three and four-bedroom family homes and will be contained within a private walled community.
The show house, along with a sales suite, opened to the public yesterday and the Scunthorpe Telegraph was given a look around.

HG Homes, which is part of the Scunthorpe-based Hunt Group, is hoping to agree sales on the first 18 properties in the development by Easter.
Hunt Group chief executive Shaun Hunt said: “We are excited to announce the launch of Yaddlethorpe Grange with our new show house demonstrating the very high quality and specification of our homes.
“With construction now well under way, visitors will have a glimpse of the scheme layout which has been carefully designed to reflect a village style setting, maximising privacy and space around each property.”
First-time buyers at Yaddlethorpe Grange can take advantage of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme.
North Lincolnshire Council leader Rob Waltham, who was among those to attend the launch event yesterday, said: “I am keen to see this development get under way.
“It will offer something for everyone – it is a charming village style setting offering traditional looking two, three and four bedroom family homes, lovingly constructed using a mixture of materials and details that are normally found in the country’s most prestigious developments.
“It’s good news that some of these home will be available for first time buyers to encourage young families into home ownership. I am particularly keen to see how the Government’s Help to Buy scheme will be used to sell homes and provide easy access for potential purchasers.”
